What is Vessels? Vessels Arts Collaborative is a network of artists who desire to teach their artform to youth through intensive 10 week classes. Artists work with no more than 12 youth once a week for 3 hours to teach both technical skill as well as the creative process. The small numbers allow for one-on-one interaction that really develops the relationship between student and teaching artist, making the
experience successful and rewarding for both.

Mission - The purpose of Vessels Arts Collaborative is to use the arts to provide opportunities to explore the natural creativity in each individual through the teaching of technical skill and through the process of creation itself. We do this because we value the way the creative process offers an awareness of self, others and God that provides opportunities for continual growth and transformation.

 An Opportunity - We are seeking artists interested in working with youth. Artists commit to teaching 10 week classes in their artform. (music, literary, visual, dance, and drama) We are also seeking partners who work with youth in grades 6-12 and are interested in bringing an artist to work with their youth.

Our Launch - We are actively seeking after funding to support Vessels Arts Collaborative. It is our hope that we will launch in the Fall of 2008.. We will then continue offering new sessions on a seasonal basis winter, spring, and summer.
